FINAL REFLECTION

I have enjoyed learning the Web 2.0 course and completing the Ilearn project this year, I felt the two went hand in hand and now I look forward to designing my resourses using the applications I have learnt in both,to help my students.
I will continue to use these applications for my personal use as well.
Thank you for the opportunity to do this course and become a better learner and teacher

MODULE 10

I have made a Wiki before for Maintain and organise work areas in a very small way so I now see the capabilities of the application and will definatly use it in my programs for next year.
Being part of the I learn project I found it very interesting to read the Ning provided to see everyones updates and work.
I feel Web 2.0 is imperative in effective teaching for the future as it is the forum in which the students are used to.Offering them interesting exciting classes to use the different applications to aid in the delivery from special needs to high achievers.

MODULE 9

Whilst I found the application of Scootle very interesting and exciting for the students unfortunatly I cant use this for Hairdressing @ SCCVC.
Second life is Fantastic, I witnessed it yesterday at the I LEARN project with  the evaluation of the students the benefits that they could talk freely in an environment that they felt comfortable in, I would definatley like to use this application
Face book love it use it all the time for personal use , I feel like I can keep in touch with friends better and speak with old friends I havent seen in ages.
Twitter, whilst I wouldnt probably use this for personal use I have been advised to use this application for my business and will do some more research.

MODULE 8

I was very interested in the google reader and RSS feeds ,it was fun finding the websites that I have an affilation with and accepting the feed, especiallly with the hairdressing as I can see whats new and up to date.
I have also used this program personally as well

MODULE 7

What a useful tool is Delicious,having a computer for work and home I was able to view my bookmarks from both instead of not having them on the computer I was using. I feel it would be a good benefit to students so that they could always access sites appropriate for their learning

MODULE 6

Bubble us looks quite interesting and it was fun making the mind map,Glogster was fantastic I really think I could use this application in my classroom as the hairdressing students are very visual and I think they would enjoy using this resource to create posters for the SCCVC Hair Salon using all the technologies of music,animation video and text to bring their Glogster to life !!!

MODULE 5

Podcasts
This is very familiar to me in that I use I tunes frequently and feel quite comfortable downloading podcasts etc
What I did learn though was how I can apply this in the learning environment for the students to have the podcast to asssist them in their learning, revision and when their absent.
I also use You Tube regularly for my practical classes as there is great resources for how other salons /training schools do the same procedures as us.
